Rules for JSCC International Award for Creative Work
We establish this Award in order to promote advances in coordination chemistry and JSCC.
| Section 1 | We establish the JSCC International Award for Creative Work (here after the “Award”) for advancing the field of coordination chemistry and Japan Society of Coordination Chemistry. |
| Section 2 | This Award will be presented to a researcher who has contributed to the development of coordination chemistry through outstanding and pioneering works. Candidates should not have Japanese citizenship and should be early in their research career (no more than 15 years post-Ph.D. at the time of nomination). |
| Section 3 | The Award shall consist of a certificate shield and prize money (\50,000). |
| Section 4 | The JSCC Awards Review Committee (here after the “Review Committee”) shall be responsible for the selection of the Award. Ten members of the Review Committee will be selected from JSCC members according to “Rules for Election of Review Committee Members of JSCC Award”. The Vice president of JSCC shall be the chairman of the Review Committee. |
| Section 5 | Selection of candidates shall be made in accordance with the provisions of the “JSCC International Award for Creative Work”. |
| Section 6 | The chairman of the Review Committee shall report the result and its reason to the President by the date of a JSCC general meeting. |
| Section 7 | The Award shall be given at the Annual Symposium. |
| Section 8 | Enforcement of these rules shall be in accordance with the “JSCC International Award for Creative Work”. |
| Section 9 | These rules may be amended after a careful discussion by the Council and receiving approval at the general meeting. |
| These rules become effective from September 19, 2014. |

Additional rules for JSCC International Award for Creative Work
| Section 1 | These additional rules lay down required items for the JSCC International Award for Creative Work (here after the “Award”) grant according to the provision in section 5 of the “Rules for JSCC International Award”. |
| Section 2 | The award shall be given to no more than one individual every year. |
| Section 3 | Candidates for this award shall be recruited throughout the world. Applicants may nominate themselves or be nominated by others. They shall be required to submit all necessary documentation in alignment with the application guidelines to the President of JSCC within the deadline. |
| Section 4 | The JSCC Awards Review Committee (here after the “Review Committee”) shall be responsible for the selection of the Award. |
| Section 5 | Members and the chairman of the Review Committee will also hold the post of members and chairman of the JSCC International Award review committee. |
| Section 6 | The person who recommended the candidate cannot become a member of the Review Committee. |
| Section 7 | The selection of the Award shall be made following the rules for the selection of JSCC International Awards. |
| Section 8 | The JSCC Awards Review Committee (here after the “Review Committee”) shall be responsible for the selection of the Award. |
| Section 9 | These rules may be amended after a careful discussion by the Council and receiving approval at the general meeting. |
| These rules become effective from September 19, 2014. | |
