Members of the Executive Council and Members of the Indian Photobiology Society feel honored to felicitate Professor Joe Otsuki for the Sir J. C. Bose Endowment Award, 2024 in recognition of his pioneering contributions in the area of supramolecular chemistry, material chemistry, light-harvesting molecules, nanomaterials, photochemistry, hydrogen generation etc.
In recognition of his scholastic contributions, Prof. Otsuki has received many recognitions. He received the Research Award of the College of Science and Technology, Nihon University and the Special Lecture by Young Generation Award, The Chemical Society of Japan. He acknowledged the Best Papers Award from Elsevier’s journal, Solar Energy. He had been rewarded by the International Symposium on Pure & Applied Chemistry for‘Lecture Award’for his novel scientific contribution in this field.
After awarding PhD from Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo he joined in the group of Prof. Jean-Marie Lehn, NL as Post-Doctoral fellow of the Universite Louis Pasteur, France.
A dedicated academician and administrator, Prof. Otsuki contributed significantly to the development of research in the area of Supramolecular Chemistry, photochemical and electrochemical features of the coordination complexes and also inspired a large number of students and colleagues in the globs who are now carrying the torch of his mission.
